Join El Refugio de Potosí – Become a member - today

Through your membership purchase you support El Refugio de Potosí, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and conservation of local fauna and flora.

Membership is an easy way to be involved as well as enjoy the following benefits:
- free entrance for the member and 1 guest for one year from your enrollment date
- discounts for El Refugio events and activities
- subscription to the electronic newsletter
- special events and tours for members only
- unique volunteer opportunities

Membership is 500 pesos per year. You can join at the ERP visitor's kiosk and get your membership card there.

Become a Supporter – Invest in the Future

Supporters may specify the use of their contributed funds or contribute directly to the General Fund.

El Refugio de Potosí Funds:

  1. General Fund: This fund provides for the ongoing maintenance and expenses of the garden but is not used to pay director salaries.
  2. Building Fund: This fund is used for facility improvements and new construction projects – for example, a new well  or a sea turtle recuperation pool.
  3. Education Fund: This fund is used to develop new educational programs and to give scholarships to children who would otherwise not be able to attend ERP programs.
  4. Graduate Student Fund: This fund will help provide Mexican graduate students with resources to complete their field work at ERP.

El Refugio's Honor and Memorial Gift program is a wonderful way to recognize someone or mark a special occasion—celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, or holiday, sharing a memory or saying thank you.  The refuge has many ways to help you celebrate someone special.

Once your gift is received, El Refugio de Potosi will notify the honoree or honoree's family with a letter describing the Memorial or Honor gift.  With a purchase of $25 or more, your gift can be listed in a special section of the our website; Our Honor Roll.

Naming Opportunities

Our Mission
Conservation of the flora and fauna of the coastal, tropical dry forest region near Zihuatanejo, Jose Azueta, Guerrero, Mexico.

Goals
Increase the awareness and appreciation of the life cycle of the tropical dry forest and of native species in the region of Barra de Potosí, Guerrero, Mexico, through preservation, exhibition, reproduction, education and research.
